The following Family Resource programs are all paid programs.  Please see our program guide for full details on when they are offered, registration information and costs.


Busy Fingers, Busy Feet
Ages: 9 to 12 months

Infants learn through exploring with all their senses. Led by a Registered Early Childhood Educator, this program provides developmentally and age appropriate activities based on an understanding of how babies learn best at this age. Your baby needs space, time and freedom to explore new experiences that will capture their interests and promote further development. A special memento of your baby’s first time finger painting will be documented for you to take home.


Rock a Bye Babies
Ages: 6 to 12 months

This program will help develop your child’s listening skills and sense of rhythm and beat through repetition. Lead by a Registered Early Childhood Educator this program introduces age appropriate experiences through playful musical activities, movement, games, songs, rhymes, and dancing while stimulating interactions between child and parent/caregiver.


Baby Milestones
Ages: 2 to 6 months

Your baby’s brain is developing at an astounding rate. Learn the latest facts and scientific research and how you as a parent can best support healthy brain connections. There will be opportunities to learn and create brain building activities, network with other parents, celebrate your baby’s milestones, and create special keepsakes to capture your baby’s growth & development. This class is led by a Registered Early Childhood Educator with other professionals visiting as guest speakers.


Messing Around
Ages: 18 to 24 months

Lead by a Registered Early Childhood Educator engage with your toddler explorative, creative and sensory based activities to stimulate their senses. Each session offers a variety of activities taking into consideration toddlers learn best in a play-based learning environment. Your toddler enjoys the being with other children observing and developing defined social interactions in a fun environment. Come and enjoy your special time together in this exceptional program!

Discover Together

Ages: 2-6 years

(Younger siblings may attend)

Join us for 8 weeks of exciting activities such as: creative, science, math and early literacy involving stories, songs and active movement .Facilitated by a Registered Early Childhood Educator this small structured group experience encourages quality adult and child interaction in an age-appropriate child-focused environment while promoting healthy child development.

Cooking Up a Story
Ages: 2 to 4 years

(Younger siblings not yet crawling may attend)

Participate with your child/ren learning weekly stories complemented by preparing a recipe. Facilitated by a Registered Early Childhood Educator you and your child/ren will review each book, followed by related activities and various creatives! Parents assist in the recipe preparation and role model tasting new food to encourage healthy eating habits. The best of all worlds; reading, exploring with food and eating!


Nature Explorers
Ages: 2.5 to 6 years

(Younger siblings may attend)

Come with your child to this nature-based program that explores the outdoors. This class is held outdoors and is filled with storytelling, tracking local wildlife, and discovering the coolest things in nature. We sing, tell stories, and learn naturalist skills and so much more. Let’s get our children back out into nature and reconnected. This program is led by a certified Hike Leader with a diploma in Recreation and Leisure and Wildlife and Forestry Conservation. Participants will meet at Rotary Park Pavilion (near the pool parking lot), rain or shine.

Creative Child
Ages: 2.5 to 5 years,

(children on their own)

Are you looking for a kindergarten experience for your preschooler? Creative Child is a perfect opportunity for your child to engage in art-based creative-learning activities, and to be on their own in preparation for Kindergarten or full-time Child Care. Children will enjoy a wide variety of age appropriate activities, learn routines, and increase their social skills.

This program is offered at various times throughout the year.
