Before and After School Milton Community Resource Centre offers a seamless program for children in JK/SK to Grade 6 and their families within their own school.
Our program offers children a safe and caring environment where they can relax and gather with friends at the beginning and end of their school day. Children are given the opportunity to investigate the arts, participate in hands on science, to keep physically fit and to learn new skills that complement the school day. Homework assistance is provided.
MCRC embraces a Reggio Emilia inspired philosophy in all program areas. This is best described as an approach to learning which builds upon the interests of children. Interactions between children are closely observed by program teachers and children are given opportunities for learning, based on these observed interests. Staff, parents and children work as a collaborative team. Our Teachers and Supervisors are Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECE) and our Assistant Teachers have years experience working with school age children. All staff are required to maintain a current First Aid/CPR certificate.
All of our Before and After School Programs are participants in the quality early learning initiative, Quality First.
