Kids Konnection - KK001/KK002

Kids Konnection is a small group setting with children aged 3 to 5 years (without their parents). Children will participate in a variety of activities, such as language through songs and stories, art, sensory play, and active play while socializing with other children, and practising basic routines that will help to prepare them for kindergarten. The Registered ECE engages the children, taking into consideration individual personalities, learning styles and interests of each child. This program also offers the child an opportunity to practice emotional self-regulation as they transition into being left on their own without the parent/caregiver.

Age: 36 -60 months (child must already be 3 years of age)

Rock-A-Bye Babies - RBB001/RBB002

This interactive music program is designed to strengthen your baby’s listening skills, encourages adult and child bonding, while helping your baby to develop a sense of rhythm and beat through different musical experiences. Rock a Bye Babies introduces a variety of different music genres , playful musical activities using a variety of play props, creative movement, dancing, songs, and rhymes all led by a qualified Registered Early Childhood Educator. Each session is different and unique, so we encourage you to register for the program more than once!

Age: 6-12 months

Baby Milestones - BM001

Young babies grow and develop at a rapid rate and at this stage begin to explore their world with all of their senses. Follow these exciting changes and learn simple ways that you can promote healthy development. Each week participants will make a keepsake, engage in activities and complete a journal page that will be part of a bound record of this special time you and baby spend together. This program will also offer you time to network with other parents of babies the same age in our community.

Age: 2-7 Months of age

Busy Fingers Busy Feet - BF001/BF002

Babies learn best by using all their senses. This program gives babies time and space to explore a variety of sensory experiences that are age appropriate, and help to strengthen babies’ understanding of their world. By encouraging babies to express themselves this stimulates further brain development, language and independence. A Registered Early Childhood Educator provides the right combination of play based experience, expertise and knowledge to make this one of our most popular programs! There is also a special keepsake of your baby’s first finger painting for you to take home.

Messing Around - MA001

Come and engage your toddler in creative exploration, and sensory experiences that will fully stimulate them! Through materials, textures, music and activities our play based learning environment and qualified staff will provide a variety of activities that promote exploration through your toddler’s senses. It will be seven weeks of exciting learning, experimentation, getting messy and fun. This is a small private class.

Age: 18-24 months

Rhythms and Rainbows - RR001

Let’s explore the world of art! This program introduces your child to a variety of different painting techniques, art mediums (such as clay, collage, pastels), and much more. All materials used in the program are safe, nontoxic and age appropriate. Adding to the art experience children will explore music through play props, singing and dance. You and your child will be inspired by the “arts” all while engaging and spending quality time together. This is a small private class.

Age: 12-18 Months of age

Discover Together - DT001/DT002

Are you and your child curious and want to learn and discover new things together? Preschoolers’ are always asking “why” and wanting to know more about their world, Discover Together nurtures this natural curiosity through a variety of play based activities. Come explore preschool math and language and the connection between the two, as well as science, singing and lots of other exciting choices in a rich child centered environment. Children at this age like to make choices and decisions for themselves as this helps with their self-esteem and confidence, our curriculum allows children to freely express themselves and partake in activities that inspire them. This program is facilitated by a Registered Early Childhood Educator as well as an Artist as part of our Artist and Child Together initiative on Wednesdays only.

Please note: Younger siblings may attend. Please register the oldest child only up to age 6 no yet attending grade 1 Discover Together fees include 1 adult with no more than two children. For families with more than 2 children participating an additional fee will apply.

Cooking Up A Story - CUS001/CUS002

Join us for weekly theme stories complemented by preparing a yummy recipe. Together we will summarize each book, followed by a related activity, experiment or art project and a cooking activity! Parents assist in the recipe preparation and role model tasting new foods to encourage healthy eating habits. younger siblings not yet crawling may attend.

Learning Letters and Numbers Through Play - LNTP001/LNTP002

Join this interactive program where children and families will build on songs, stories and rhymes using open ended materials, play props and equipment that fosters learning. Participate in gross motor activities, small group time and purposeful activities with a focus on literacy and numeracy. Families will have the opportunity to create fun and exciting activities to take home and continue the learning. Younger siblings not yet crawling may attend.

Dancing With Baby DWB001 *NEW PROGRAM*

Join other parents/caregivers in this 45 minute low impact dance fitness class as you learn how to move to the sassy rhythms of salsa, merengue, cha cha, bachata and more with the best dance partner... your baby! This program provides a great opportunity to meet other families in the community and introduce your little one to music and movement. No previous dance experience is required to participate.

*Baby must be worn in a front facing baby carrier. Recommended for babies 12 weeks old +

Soccer Shots - SS001/SS002 *NEW PROGRAM*

Introducing Soccer Shots, an engaging children’s soccer program with a focus on character development and a Curricula aligned to the Ontario Early Learning Skills.

MINI- 2 -3 Year Olds, parent participation
Soccer Shots Mini is a high-energy program introducing children to fundamental soccer principles, such as using your feet, dribbling and the basic rules of the game. Through fun games, songs and positive reinforcement, children will begin to experience the joy of playing soccer and being active.

The basis of the mini program is to introduce children to soccer in a fun and exciting way. This program offers an introduction to soccer and movement with an emphasis on balance, coordination and confidence. Repetition, high energy and celebrating achievements are critical to the mini program, therefore you will see a repeated theme throughout the season, as well as repetition of character works for several weeks.

Classic- 3-4 Year Olds, Child on their own
Soccer Shots Classic utilizes creative and imaginative games to focus on basic soccer skills like dribbling, passing and shooting. We also highlight a positive character trait each session such a respect, teamwork and appreciation.

The Classic program teaches the technical skills of soccer and encourages greater confidence with ball control, using both feet, starting and stopping and changing directions by incorporating basic moves. The focus of these sessions is to individually become skilled at possessing the soccer ball and manipulating it in different ways. Through creativity, positively, and fun, we encourage new challenges and increased confidence in the classic program.

Magic 101 - MAG001 *NEW PROGRAM*

Have you ever imagined yourself as a magician?
Did you spend hours practicing tricks to perform to your family?

In Magic 101 your child will have the opportunity to explore different techniques and tricks, learn different types of performance methods and develop skills such as critical thinking, creativity, public speaking and self-confidence. With the techniques, tricks and skills the children will gain from this program, children will be able to create their own original tricks and will learn the art of performing.

All classes include the materials needed to complete the magic tricks and techniques that will be taught, materials will be theirs to take home to add to their performance. On week 8 the children will be provided the opportunity to perform individually and/or in small groups for families.

Come Cook With Me - CCWM001 *NEW PROGRAM*

Connect as you cook and bond as you bake!

Cooking is a great way to teach children about healthy eating as well as spend meaningful time together doing something fun. Come join us for a fun filled family afternoon in our parent and child participation cooking classes and make ever lasting memories. Each week participants will work together to learn new recipes, prepare, cook and enjoy the meal together. Children will be introduced to cooking techniques and utensils as well as basic kitchen safety and etiquette. Children will learn new vocabulary, math skills, about nutrition and culturally diverse foods. Families will also be invited to share recipes to be prepared in the class if desired.

The cost of the program includes 1 adult and 1 child and all program supplies.
