MCRC’s Funtastic Summer Camp is returning for it’s 3rd summer. Our goal for your child is to fill their summer with Funtastic themed weeks that will be filled with activities, cooking, games, science and so much more. Funtastic Summer Camps are designed in a compact 9am to 3pm day at our MCRC 410 Bronte St S. location to support families schedules and budgets. Don't miss out on these Funtastic camps that are sure to keep your children engaged and off the coach this summer!

Important reminder: Participants will need to bring their own nut free snacks, lunch and a reusable water bottle.  

 

Week 1 - Summer Bucket List

Dates: July 2nd - 4th (3 days)
Time:  9am - 3pm
Age: 4 - 6 years old  & 7 - 12 years

Week 2 - Creative Connections

Dates: July 7th - 11th
Time:  9am - 3pm
Age: 4 - 6 years old & 7 - 12 years old
Cost: $275

Art is all around us so let the creations flow. Together we will look at art in its natural, musical, creative, and perceived forms and how it can influence our lives and everything around us. Appreciate and discover the unique creativity you were born with. The week will end with a children’s performance or art gallery.

Week 3 - Let's Cook

Dates: July 14th - 18th
Time:  9am - 3pm
Age: 4 - 6 years old & 7 - 12 years old

Ignite your child’s passion for cooking and watch their culinary skills soar! Your child will participate in a different recipe everyday while learning the importance of farming and growing our food in sustainable ways.

Week 4 - Engineering Explorers

Dates: July 21st - 25th
Time:  9am - 3pm
Age: 4 - 6 years old & 7 - 12 years old

The mind of a child is always turning just like an engineer’s. We will tap into that constructive imagination by building, LEGO, coding, and investigating structures. To engage children’s curiosity and imagination we will explore the world of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) to unlock their engineering potential.

Week 5 - Party Week

Dates: July 28th - August 1st
Time:  9am - 3pm
Age: 4 - 6 years old & 7 - 12 years old

As the summer ends it’s not a time to be sad but to party. Each day there will be a party that will fit a different theme from Luau to Mardi Gras or a backyard party to a Birthday party. Each day is sure to be blast of fun activities, dress up and party treats.

Week 6 - Let's Cook

Dates: August 5th - 8th (4 days)
Time:  9am - 3pm
Age: 4 - 6 years old & 7 - 12 years old

From learning how to safely move a turtle across the road to the importance of butterflies and bumblebees, your child will learn how to have a positive impact on the earth and the living things around it.

Week 8 - Camp Carnival

Age: 4 - 6 years old & 7 - 12 years old

Step right up for a week of carnival excitement. From obstacle course to face painting, and potato sack races to carnival games, this week promises non-stop fun and laughter.
