Chess for Kids
Dates: October 17 - November 14 (5 sessions - Saturdays)

Playing Chess helps children develop many different life skills like critical thinking, memory development, problem solving skills, and patience. It helps to strengthen academic performance and emotional resilience when handling wins and losses. This program is geared to beginners learning chess and the basics of principles, strategies and tactics. The children will get to socialize with other while getting to play the game and having a great time!

This month’s P.A. Day Camp will have your kids making some "Grub" that is sure to make some tummies "Grateful". Your child will not only get the opportunity to learn how to cook but also be able to take this new skill home to make for friends and family or for themselves to enjoy again and again, they're sure to be "thankful" for the skills they'll gain.

*New Program* Get ready for 5 weeks of STEM-filled fun! Scientists in Schools with MCRC is designed to spark children’s curiosity, build confidence, and show them just how exciting science can be. Each 60-minute session invites young scientists to explore, experiment, create, and discover through engaging, hands-on activities inspired by biology, physics, chemistry, engineering, and more. Led by our enthusiastic science educators, every workshop is packed with age-appropriate challenges, creative investigations, and plenty of opportunities to ask questions and think like a scientist. Through playful exploration and real-world connections, children will develop critical-thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, all while having a blast!
