Welcome to MCRC

Congratulations on the new addition to your family! This page will introduce you to Milton Community Resource Centre (MCRC), and give you some information about the services we offer for families with children.

MCRC is a not-for-profit, multi-service and multi-site organization that provides services to children and families. We offer a wide range of early learning and child care programs, parent support programs as well as professional development and resources which reflect the needs within Milton and the broader Halton community

At MCRC we strive to meet the diverse cultural, social and economic demands of families and professionals by offering a wide range of services for families.

Child Care Directory and Information Line

Child Care Directory and Information Line (CCDIL) is a free, centralized one stop information service supporting families in Halton region in finding licensed child care. CCDIL recognizes that creating opportunities for parents to make informed choices regarding quality child care is essential to the growth and development of strong and stable families.

 

EarlyON Child and Family Centre

EarlyON Programs

EarlyON Child and Family Centres provide opportunities for children 0-6 to participate in programs and support parents/caregivers. MCRC operates Milton's EarlyON centre and runs a variety of free programs for families with young children. There are also EarlyON centres in Burlington, Oakville and Halton Hills.

Family Fun Programs

MCRC's Family Fun programs are designed for you and your child to spend quality time together!  With a variety of different programs, you can choose what suits your family.  Family Fun programs provide a positive learning environment that enables child initiated – adult supported play, and engages families in active, creative and meaningful experiences together.   Led by trained Program Facilitators, they connect with children and families, plan and extend play in a way that engages the whole family.

Infant Food Bank

MCRC’s Infant Food Bank is dedicated to helping local families in need by providing a monthly supply of diapers, formula, baby food and cereal. The Infant Food Bank also offers these families referrals to EarlyON programs, supports, services and other community agencies.

Navigators are an essential part of our staff team and can help connect you with services and resources that MCRC and other community partners have to offer.

Parent Resource Library

Our informal Parent Resource Library offers books, videos and reference material on loan free of charge.  Articles and tip sheets related to parenting are also available. 

Parent Educators and Navigators are available to assist with the selection of resource material, answer parenting questions and direct clients to appropriate services.
