MCRC is pleased to be undertaking an Equity Audit of our child care programs as part of our ongoing commitment to providing high-quality, welcoming, and inclusive services for all children and families.
As our community continues to grow and become more diverse, we want to ensure our programs, policies, and practices reflect the needs and experiences of the families we serve.
Turner Consulting Group Inc., an independent consulting firm with extensive experience conducting Equity Audits has been engaged to lead this work. The Equity Audit will include a review of MCRC's child care policies and practices, as well as confidential consultations with parents/caregivers and staff.
We Want to Hear From You
Parents and caregivers play an essential role in helping us understand what we are doing well and where we can improve. Your experiences and perspectives will help MCRC strengthen its child care programs and ensure they are welcoming, inclusive, and responsive to the diverse needs of all children and families.
Participation is completely voluntary. All feedback will be kept confidential, and the names of participants will not be shared with MCRC. Your decision to participate—or not participate—will have no impact on your family's access to MCRC programs or services.
How to Participate
All parents and caregivers with children currently or recently enrolled in MCRC child care programs are invited to participate in one or both of the following:
• Complete an anonymous online survey
• Join a confidential focus group
Focus groups will be held on the following dates:
• July 23: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
• July 29: 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
• August 13: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
• August 18: 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Space in the focus groups is limited, so we encourage you to register early to reserve your spot.
