Welcome to She Can Discover!, designed for self-identifying girls (inclusive of cisgender and transgender) and non-binary youth in grades 1-5. This program’s mission is to address the underrepresentation of women and non-binary folks in the science industry. At She Can Discover!, we firmly believe in breaking down stereotypes and fostering a love for science.
Research shows that there is no evidence of male superiority in science. In fact, in high school, girls often outperform boys in science. However, there's a concerning trend where women are less likely to pursue science as a post-secondary education. We are here to change that!
This engaging and interactive program offers participants the chance to explore the wonders of the natural world through a variety of experiments, crafts, and activities. By delving into the captivating fields of science, participants gain valuable hands-on experience while working together as a group.
